Hello This is Michael and I want to discuss about some functions on payment systems I discovered on Amazon. A function I discovered was the Pay-phrase and this option for users allowed them to skip the input of payment information because their information was gathered by the memory of their last purchase. This seems to make the users to go through purchasing much faster. This is both good and bad in my opinion because anyone can get your information just by inputting the phrase you created. The good part of it is going through paying at a faster rate. I found this information while researching my paper. I believe that this link my help if you want Do you think this function helps users or endangers their information from hackers? Could their be another way?

Michael, I see how it would be bad if someone got your pay-phrase. Does Amazon reimburse you if someone hacks your Amazon account or do you have to go to bank and try to get your moneys back? What if the item that you purchase is not what it seems can you get a full refund and is it credited to your account or do your get some kind of credit to purchase other items on Amazon
ReplyDeleteOptions on the way PayPal handles customer and seller transaction. PayPal's part in this is the buyer and seller deal with PayPal instead of each other. Both sides provide a bank account or credit card information to PayPal, in turn, handles all the transaction with various banks and credit card companies, and then pays the interchange.
ReplyDeleteHello, This is Evan Smith from our class. I am posting a comment for my group project update. You guys have the same topic as my group does. We are doing something an Amazon payments and PayPal. I like your focus on a user benefit that pose a potential security threat. I was actually thinking of doing something like that for my blog. It is a great topic because it highlights the point at which the companies have to draw the line between customer satisfaction and security.
ReplyDeleteThe one thing that scared me during my second purchase from Amazon.com was that I found my payment option saved. I usually tend to delete them always after a purchase, but I guess I forgot, or must have clicked the wrong option.
